At Four Seasons Sunroom, we believe that adding a pergola to your outdoor space is a unique way to enhance the aesthetic appeal of your home, providing an inviting space for relaxation and entertainment. As experts in pergolas in East Hills, NY, we’re here to guide you through the wide range of options available. Let’s start with the classic favorite, wooden pergolas.
Wood has been a go-to choice for pergolas due to its natural elegance and timeless charm. Whether it’s the rustic appeal of a redwood or the durability of cedar, the choice of wood species offers a variety of aesthetics to match your specific tastes. Moreover, wood allows for a high degree of customization – from the finish and color to the intricate carvings and detailing.
However, homeowners should bear in mind that wooden pergolas do require consistent upkeep. This includes regular staining or sealing to protect from harsh weather elements and potential pests. But don’t worry, the team at Four Seasons Sunroom is dedicated to supporting our clients beyond just the installation. We offer ongoing care advice and service to ensure that your wooden pergola remains a focal point of beauty in your home. For more details about our wooden pergola services and options, feel free to reach out to us at 516-253-2329.
For those homeowners in Nassau County looking for a more modern and low-maintenance option, Four Seasons Sunroom is delighted to present vinyl pergolas. Vinyl is an incredibly durable material that resists the harsh effects of weathering, chipping, and rot, making it an ideal choice for the diverse climate of East Hills, NY.
The sleek, clean look of vinyl pergolas works well with contemporary home designs and outdoor decors. What’s more, they require minimal upkeep compared to their wooden counterparts. You won’t need to worry about regular staining or sealing – a simple clean with soapy water will keep your pergola looking new.
However, some might find that vinyl lacks the natural warmth and texture of wood. But with Four Seasons Sunroom, you’re not limited to a single style or color. We provide a plethora of vinyl pergola styles and colors to ensure that you find the perfect match for your outdoor space. Don’t hesitate to dial 516-253-2329 and let our experts assist you in exploring your vinyl pergola options.
Residing in the heart of Nassau County, Four Seasons Sunroom also offers a robust choice for those considering an alternative to wood or vinyl – metal pergolas. Known for their impressive strength and longevity, metal pergolas are uniquely suited to withstand the variable weather conditions of East Hills, NY.
Metal pergolas lend a distinctively modern, industrial aesthetic to your outdoor space. Whether you’re drawn to the lightweight resilience of aluminum or the formidable strength of steel, our range of metal pergolas is versatile enough to cater to different tastes and needs. It’s worth noting that while they offer exceptional durability, metal pergolas can heat up under the sun and may require additional shading or cooling features.
No matter what material you settle on, a pergola from Four Seasons Sunroom is a beautiful addition that can transform your outdoor space into a tranquil retreat or a lively entertainment hub. We invite you to get in touch with our experienced team in East Hills, NY today, and let’s begin the exciting journey of designing your perfect outdoor haven.
In 1643, John Carman and Robert Fordham sailed across the Long Island Sound from Stamford, Connecticut and purchased the land that is now occupied by the towns of Hempstead and North Hempstead from the Marsappeaque, Matinecock, Mericock, and Rockoway Native Americans. This land included what is now East Hills.
For a long time, much of what now is East Hills was home to a few wealthy families. In 1898, Clarence and Katherine Mackay settled in present-day East Hills and would eventually commission Stanford White to design their mansion, Harbor Hill. In 1924, the Prince of Wales, who later abdicated the throne of England to marry Mrs. Simpson, was entertained at the Mackay estate. Aviation pioneer Charles A. Lindbergh even rested at the Mackay estate in 1927 after returning to the United States following his historic solo flight to Paris, France.
The Village of East Hills was incorporated on June 24, 1931, and its first election was held a couple weeks later on July 8 in barns at the Mackay estate. Reasons for incorporating included the desire by many locals to be excluded from paying taxes for sanitary sewer systems, highways, etc., the desire to not be part of the Roslyn Sewer District and to keep businesses out, and to maintain home rule powers. Many of the proposals which the locals were against were proposed when Roslyn wanted to incorporate, as early plans called for that village’s proposed boundaries to include what would become East Hills. As such, the residents decided to incorporate East Hills as a separate village.
